RC LiPo Car Batteries Make Electric RC Cars Best

The RC industry has recently undergone a transformation, with many people switching from nitro engines to electric motors. Most of that is due to the efficiency and power of brushless electric motors, but other big reasons are due to the latest advancements in battery technology.

Previously, the biggest challenge with electric RC cars was that they were less powerful compared to their nitro counterparts. Lithium Polymer batteries (LiPo) have changed now because they are lighter and stronger than ordinary NiCad and NiMH batteries.

Unlike NiCad and NiMH, high-performance cylindrical lithium-ion batteries also cannot carry out self-discharge when connected in parallel, which means that LiPo batteries can be connected in parallel to double their capacity which means longer operating time for your RC. They can also be connected in series to increase their voltage.

By combining LiPo batteries in a variety of parallel and serial configurations, manufacturers can make LiPo packages according to your RC needs. For example, the voltage in a packet can be increased by connecting LiPo packages in series. One LiPo cell has a nominal voltage of 3.7 volts so that two LiPo batteries connected in series produce 7.4 volts, three produce 11.1 volts, etc.

The LiPo package also has something called a "C" rating which the maximum average expenditure flow is recommended for cells. The "C" rating in the LiPo package can be used to determine the maximum output current by multiplying the rank "C" with the package capacity.
